Students majoring in art can apply for a scholarship by submitting a portfolio of 14 to 20 pieces, which is already a requirement for Bachelor of Fine Arts programs. Awards range from $2,000 to $4,000, and recipients are chosen based on artistic ability and academic promise. Scholarships are renewable.
Portfolios should be appropriately mounted and protected — no glass or frames. Three-dimensional work is best represented in slides or digital images.
Incoming freshmen should email Professor Cristina de Gennaro, prospective student coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Include your name, phone number, and the name of your current school.
Transfer students should send their information to Professor William Maxwell at email@example.com.
Portfolio reviews can be scheduled during open houses organized by the Office of Admissions. For other dates, call the Art Department at (914) 645-5274 or (914) 654-5856.
Students who cannot come to campus can send images of their work by email, or send a portfolio of slides, or images on a CD, to the Art Department, The College of New Rochelle, 29 Castle Place, New Rochell, NY 10805.
