‘The proper college training combined with the internship experience has truly prepared me for a graphic design career following graduation.’

Shervone Neckles SAS’02

‘The internship experience has enhanced many aspects of my artistic career. Interning at a not-for-profit gallery helped me acquire and enhance perspectives in the art world at large. As an artist, I understand the importance of the audience and I feel I was able to observe and interact with an art audience.’

Carmen Hernandez SAS’05

An internship is the most valuable off-campus activity an art major can undertake prior to graduation.

It is actual work experience that allows qualified students to put their academic training to practical use, complementing the learning experience in school and introducing them to a careers or fields that interest them.
